Citizenship AU: Morningside
Privacy notice
Updated 7 October 2026
This notice applies to Citizenship AU: Morningside and this app’s support website. The app is built to let you study on your device without creating an account.
Who is responsible?
Christian Deckert, Dorfstrasse 57H, 8166 Niederweningen, Switzerland, is responsible for the processing described here that is under the developer’s control. For privacy questions or requests, write to privacy@grundkenntnistest.app. For app support, write to apps@morningside.ch.
Your learning stays on your device
The app stores your answers and learning progress, selected language and region, saved questions, trial start time, daily answer counter and purchase access status locally using iOS storage. This lets it show your progress, remember your preferences and apply the free access limits. The app has no developer account system, advertising, analytics SDKs or developer-operated server receiving your answers or usage events. It does not request access to your contacts, precise location, camera, microphone or photo library.
Backups and deleting local data
There is no app-managed cloud synchronisation. Depending on your iOS settings, Apple may include app data in a device backup. Local data remains until you reset or remove it, or delete the app; offloading an app can retain its data. Manage backups separately in your Apple settings. The developer cannot retrieve or erase study history stored only on your device. Removing the app does not cancel an Apple subscription.
Purchases and Apple services
Apple processes payments and subscriptions through the App Store. The app uses StoreKit to receive and check purchase entitlement information and restore eligible purchases. We do not receive your card details or Apple Account password. Apple provides the developer with aggregated sales and financial reports. Apple may also process device diagnostics under your Apple settings. Apple’s privacy notice governs Apple’s own processing.
When you contact us
If you email us, we receive your email address, message and any information you choose to attach, such as your app version or a screenshot. We use this information to answer the request, investigate a problem and manage related follow-up. Please avoid sending identity documents, payment details or unnecessary sensitive information. Support correspondence is kept for as long as needed for these purposes and applicable legal obligations, then deleted when no longer required.
This website and external links
This support website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Loading a page requires technical information such as an IP address, requested URL, browser information and request time to be processed by Cloudflare for delivery and security. We do not run visitor analytics, advertising trackers or our own visitor database on this site. The site does not set its own cookies. Cloudflare’s privacy notice explains its infrastructure processing and retention. Opening an official source, an Apple page or another external link takes you to a service with its own privacy terms; app answers are not attached to those links.
Purposes, recipients and international processing
We process support messages to provide assistance and address contractual requests. Website delivery and protection serve our legitimate interest in operating a secure support service. Legal duties may require retaining specific correspondence or financial records. Where EU or UK data protection law applies, the relevant bases are performance of a contract, legitimate interests and legal obligations. Apple, Cloudflare and email service providers may process information needed to provide their services. Processing may take place outside your country, including in Switzerland, Europe and the United States. Their notices describe their safeguards and transfer arrangements; contact us for information about processing we control. We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising or automated decisions with legal effects.
Your choices and rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of personal information we hold about you, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Contact privacy@grundkenntnistest.app; we may need proportionate information to verify your request. You may also complain to the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner or your competent local authority. Requests concerning Apple’s own purchase or account records should be directed to Apple.
Children and changes
This is a study tool for citizenship preparation. We do not knowingly collect children’s information through an account or tracking system. A parent or guardian can contact us about information a child has sent by email. If the app or our processing changes, we will update this notice and its date.
